The Revenge of the Other White Meat...Had Finally Begun

The title says it all! This particular sculpture by Patz Fowle is often viewed with mixed emotions. Pork Pie was handbuilt in stoneware and the oozing red stuff is pigmented resin. PS: the metal pie tin is a ready-made.

Wheel-thrown and altered stoneware and porcelain. Underglaze, was used to create the gut-wrenching green color and nichrome was fired into the clay for hair. Marbles were made by combining stoneware, porcelain and terracotta clay. The Potters Council of the American Ceramic Society selected this piece as part of the 2013 "Green Exhibition" shown during the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts in Houston.

"Vinny Van Goat" was handbuilt in stoneware and porcelain by Patz Fowle. Underglaze, stains a real paintbrush and pigmented resin made to look like wet paint completes this mixed media tribute inspired by two of her favorite artists, Vincent Van Gogh and Robert Arneson.
