"Every Artist...Has A Story"
Climbing up the mountain of books that chronicle art, the elephant represents the fact that we will "never forget" past artists and the impact they have had on culture and history and continue to have on our lives.

"Cruising Through Chaos ... on Wings of Whimsy"
When I began creating this porcelain piece I was thinking of other people going through
difficulties in their life, be it physical health, mental, etc. and how they learn to adapt to the situation.
Soon after I completed this piece I heard the dreadful words that no one expects to hear
"you have cancer" and how those three words changed everything.

Having the beautiful "gift" of being an artist and loosing the range of motion in my right arm along with
a couple body parts was (I thought at the time) more than I could cope with and for a while I forgot
how to feel joy and experience laughter. But, as time passed...my body and mind began to heal.

I have had many blessings in my life; a loving supporting family and wonderful friends, but one of my most remarkable days was the day I regained my humor so together again, we could all share the joy of laughter!
