I LOVE working in clay and occasionally I allow myself the beautiful opportunity to oil paint.

In 2010 I was a mentor @ the Teacher Institute in Contemporary Art @ the School of the Art Institute of Chicago when I painted this self-portrait.
I created this oil painting of my friend Pearl Fryar using only palette and painting knives! I call it "Pearl Fryar's Fantastic...Fro-piary Garden" Pearl is world famous for his beautiful topiary garden in Bishopville, South Carolina.
