Heritage Music and Art Festival National Bean Museum Lake City, SC through Sept. 24

Mike and Patz Fowle will have new work (available for purchase) in their upcoming exhibit "Funk and Awesome" Oct 4-Nov 10, at Hyman Fine Arts Gallery at Francis Marion University, Florence, SC. Opening reception Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:00-7pm

Patz received an award at the
2011 Pee Dee Regional Art Exhibition @ the Florence Museum on view through Nov. 6

Patz and Mike Fowle will have new work @ the Annual Midlands Clay Arts Society Holiday Clay Art Sale @ Gallery 80808 Vista Studios Columbia, SC. Dec. 1- 6, 2011

Fowle will exhibit new work @ the
World of Music Exhibit Art Trail Gallery, Florence, SC Sept 29-Oct 28 and @ the Holiday Show and sale.

Fowle recently exhibited @ the Sumter Gallery of Art in the
Sumter Artists' Guild Show Sumter, SC.

Patz Fowle's ceramic sculpture
will be featured in the upcoming book "Humor in Craft" by author Brigitte Martin.

Patz had the awesome opportunity to meet Janis Mars Wunderlich and work with Sergei Isupov and Christina Cordova at the "Figure it Out" Ceramics Symposium at Francis Marion University, Florence, SC.Thanks to Dr. Howard Frye!

The
Patz Fowle Arts in Education Award was announced at Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville, SC.

The UK publication
Antennae-The Journal of Nature in Visual Culture highlights the work of contemporary sculptor,  Patz Fowle, author Courtney Lee Weida, Adelphi University.

Fowle was an Artist-in-Residence at every Darlington County school 2010-2011! This unique AIE program was supported by
Black Creek Arts Council, the Darlington County School District and the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

2010-Patz Fowle was a Mentor @ the
School of the Art Institute of Chicago/Teacher Institute in Contemporary Art. TICA is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Patz Fowle exhibited ceramic sculpture in the
Potters Council "Fill-adelphia" exhibit at A Show of Hands Gallery in Philadelphia, Pa. in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts.

Fowle led a
Patz Process Ceramic Technique workshop at the Potters Council of the American Ceramic Society-Handbuilding Conference at Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Ga.
  Patz Fowle is a professional visual artist recognized internationally for her distinctive style.
*The Patz Process Ceramic Technique*
for handbuilding in clay was developed by Fowle
in 1970. This innovative, straightforward clay
method has become part of the rich heritage of
American Ceramic Techniques.
Numerous examples of Fowle's works and techniques
are featured in ceramic books, international periodicals, sculpture reference books and in school art text books.
